His father, Joseph YULE was the son of Ninian YULE and Elizabeth MCKELL.

They were married 30 December 1887, 16 Argyll Place, Glasgow. Ninian was the son of John YULE and Margaret GILCHRIST. He was living at 23 Argyll Street and gave his occupation as a bookbinder. Elizabeth was the daughter of John MCKELL and Margaret PORTER. She lived at 16 Argyll Place and was a cotton mill worker.





John YULE and Margaret GILCHRIST were married 5 September 1862, Stoneybyre, in the parish of Lesmahagow, Lanarkshire. John was the son of Ninian YULE and Mary CARMICHAEL. He lived in the town of Lanark and was a railway worker. Margaret was the daughter of James GILCHRIST and Martha SCOULAR. She was born 1837 in Lesmahagow.

The family is on the 1881 census for Cadder Parish, in the county of Lanarkshire

Ninian YULE and Mary CARMICHAEL were married 29 March 1840, Douglas Parish, Lanark. He was the son of James YULE and Elizabeth SHAW. He was born 1810, Douglas Parish and died 24 March 1885, Douglas. He was a cotton weaver. Mary was born 1818 in Glasgow. The family is on the 1851 census for Paddock Row, Douglas and 1881 in Douglas, Parish.

There was a Ninian YULE who married Helen NewBigging.

They had Janet born 1835, Douglas and who married 10 February 1860, Crawfordjohn Parish, Lanark to Thomas CLOTHART.



It is possible that they had a James YULE born around 1836 Douglas. James YULE married in 4 December 1857, Hamilton to Jane BELL and gave his parents as Ninian YULE and Mary CARMICHAEL. He is on the 1881 census (as YUILL) in Dalziel Parish, Lanark and was a plasterer.





James YULE and Elizabeth SHAW are on the 1851 census for Cross, Lanark Parish, Lanark. James was the son of Ninian YULE and Helen WWILSON He was born 1785 Douglas and died 28 September 1862, Douglas Parish. He was an agricultural worker.

John was born 6 October 1813, Barony Parish, Lanark

Helen was born 22 May 1817, Glasgow and married 28 July 1839, Douglas to Henry GREENSLEEVES.

Sir George Undey YULE died 13 January 1886, Bayswater, Middlesex, England. Did his wife, Henrietta

Peach PEMBERTON, marry Joseph Dalton HOOKER?

Douglas YULE



Douglas YULE was born 25 February 1947. He grew up on Long Island. As a child, he learned to play a number of musical instruments and even went to acting school for a while. He moved to Boston around 1968. He married and had four children born 1968-1977. He seemed to have started his professional music career playing in the Glass Menagerie, in Boston. Later that year, he joined the Velvet Underground, playing bass until 1973. He was featured ion several of the groups albums. It appears from various articles, he was never given the proper credit for his work with the Velvet Underground, not even when they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.



He lived for a while In New Hampshire and New York as a cabinetmaker. Today he lives in Bothwell Washington. He has a son, by his second marriage, born 1992.



In November 1998, he recorded Beginning to Get it and played in a benefit for the Massachusetts Adoption Agency.

John YULE from The Dalles Times Mountaineer, the Dalles, Oregon Mary 1888.



Hon. John YULE, of Trinity County, California, was reported unaccountably missing several weeks ago, and the suspicion that he had come to a violent end is confirmed by the following from the Placerville Democrat of April 14th: "Just as we go to press we learn that yesterday the body of Hon. John Yule, who had been missing from the Church mine since March 27th, was found on Mathenas creek, near the mine. No particulars, except that the body had been stripped of clothing and that death had resulted from a gun shot wound".



John was with the Lewiston Mining Company. Can anyone help with more informaation?

In 1986, she was selected to be part of the mission to St. John United Methodist church, Tucson Arizona and to Tucson metropolitan Ministry. She took an intensive Spanish study at Cuernavaca, Mexico. Glen Robert YULE - On Saturday November 7, 1998 at Queensway General Hospital, Glen YULE beloved husband of Barbara. Loving father of Robin, Alix, and Warren and dear brother of Marnie Williams and Gwen Finbow. Devoted grandfather of Christopher, Gregory, Emily, Jennifer, Garth and Amanda.
