Henry seems to have been the household musician in the family of Edward Bacon and the teacher of his four sons. In 1608, when the sons were at University, Youll dedicated his  only known publication ‘Canzonets to Three Voycees: newly composed by Henry Youll, Practictioner in the Art of Music’, to them. ‘The work, in three books, consisted of twenty four compositions of which the last six are fa-las. It is written for cantus, altus and bassus using the alto and tenor clefs’. A copy of the music is in the British Museum. (p.356)
